GS Alternative Capital Markets Group

Any insights into this group? Having a hard time sorting through what division they’re even in and what clients they serve. Is it mostly UHNW PWM or do they interface with GSAM / Merchant bank? Any insight into day to day, exits, career progression, comp, hours, etc would also be helpful.

ACMS is used to be part of Merchant Banking but Merchant Banking was merged with Asset Management in 2020 and is still very much part of Asset management after Asset Management and Wealth Management were merged late last year. The coverage is not limited to UHNIs but also extends to institutions.
