Has anyone applied to/ worked at Scottrade?

FYI, Im a S7, S63, and soon to be S65 registered broker.

What was your overall feel of the interview process? Any advice for me?

If hired: What was your position? How did it go for you?

Hi, started as an intern there, was a stockbroker for about 3 years, and was a part of several interviews.

Scottrade is a very customer service oriented job. The job is easy and people who work there know it. Because the branches tend to be small, they want to make sure you're someone who will fit in with the branch and that you're reliable. Just be confident and friendly, they don't ask anything technical. Generic questions such as why scottrade, strengths, weaknesses, tell me about yourself, etc.

PM me if you have any specifics.

I know this is an old thread but I'm looking to move intended a stockbroker role at Scottrade or a similar company, with the goal of going into servicing active traders ie options, forex, futures or block trading for institutions. Did you after your stint as a broker move to active trading? Is Scottrade pretty receptive?
