Hilliard Lyons Trust/Baird

Does anyone have any feedback about working for Hilliard Lyons trust company after the Baird acquisition? Does Baird/HL pay well?

There is a senior pm position I'm interested in available in Louisville which would be closer to friends and family. My wife is up for moving if I can make roughly our combined income adjusted for cost of living at the next job.

I currently work at a boutique trust company ($1-2 billion aum) as a senior portfolio manager in the South. The dilemma is that it has been hinted that I'm most likely next in line to be CIO, the timeline is unknown but my best guess would be within 5 years. I hate to bet on the come, but I think that title may be more valuable for a large jump in comp.

I enjoy my current firm and think I am paid well (~150 base and 20% bonus + 8% 401k match) but I know larger firms can pay even more. For reference a flaky recruiter dangled a sr pm job in st louis to me that would have been ~300k  base/bonus at a trust company that has ~$50 billion aum.

I have a cfa and mba from top 20 school.

Looking for advice on whether I should be patient or make a tactical move.
