Hours worked at London AM
I’m really interested to know what hours you work in AM in London. I work at a mid-market asset manager as an Equity Research Analyst and the hours seem pretty short. I’m working 10 hours a day but a lot of others are doing less than that, typically 9 til 5.30. I’m wondering if that is specific to my organisation or it’s common elsewhere?
I work 10-11 hours a day too, pretty common.
Daily reminder that mid market refers to deal size and not AUM
I've worked at an AM, seen everything from 8-5 to 7-7 and beyond. Depends on asset class and company and how committed the person is to their job. Lots of people get a lot of autonomy in AM. Produce ideas and no one cares how long you work.
Thanks for the feedback
But aren’t you also ‘working’ outside the allotted 9-5:30 hours?
