Investment Risk Exit Opportunities

Currently deciding further opportunities after university (top in the UK). I am looking at two main options:

1. Join a large AM firm's division within Investment Risk (which I have an offer for)

2. Pursue a master's in quant finance to break into quant trading in banks / hedge funds.

Would appreciate any advice on this matter, particularly on Investment Risk exit opportunities and if anyone has experience with moving from Risk to front office. While 1. offers a great name, I am unsure whether this sort of role is right for me.
