Is Goldman hiring during COVID-19 market correction?

Background - ~2 years post undergrad experience in hedge fund world, interviewed last Wednesday (03/11) at GSAM. It was a super day w/ 4 in-person 30 minute interviews. Overall thought it went well and am really anxious/excited as I wait for results but still no word from HR/HCM.

  • Is lateral/experienced hire post superday response time less than 2 days like regular SA or they take their own time?
  • Assuming there is one more round or follow up calls since its FT, can someone confirm?
  • I am losing my damn mind, because everybody is WFH due to the COVID-19 outbreak -- will that delay their hiring pace? Anybody within GS- is there a halt in hiring for future planning?

Hoping someone who went through the process -- can relieve my anxiety with some answers. Bottom line, I really want the job -- I feel bad that corona virus is affecting so many people (hope you're safe! :/ ) but it was my dream interview, so unfortunate. Do you think that the fact I haven't heard is a ding? Thanks in advance!

Goldman is beating around the bush, HR told me I’m still in the running but they cannot make a decision at this time and everything is slower cause of COVID/ told me to give them a heads up if I get another offer. It’s a very unclear answer, can’t tell if I’m waitlist pending other interview or whether they can’t get budget approved!

I wish they just told me I was rejected so I don’t keep having hope, it’s been over 30 days since my super day and I’ve been checking in every two weeks. The team has been MIA recently but HR is responsive..
