JPM Fellowship AM Superday

I'm just curious if anyone's done the JPM Fellowship Asset Management Superday and if so what questions they tend to ask. It said behavioral and technicals, but I'm curious if its more market based or actual technicals and if so how to study for them.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, JPMorgan superdays for Asset Management (AM) often include a mix of behavioral and technical questions. Here's what you can expect:

Behavioral Questions:

  1. Be prepared to share a concise story about yourself, covering both academics and personal life.
  2. Common behavioral topics include:
    • Why JPMorgan?
    • Why Asset Management?
    • Examples of working in teams.
    • Handling difficult individuals in a team setting.
    • How you prioritize tasks.
    • Decision-making scenarios.

Technical Questions:

  1. Market-Based Questions:

    • Have a strong Global Macro Economic view and be ready to support it. They may pick specific points to question further.
    • Be prepared to discuss active vs. passive management, their relative performance, and how you would allocate funds between them (percentage-wise).
    • Questions about how you would invest a large sum (e.g., $10+MM) and your reasoning behind it.
  2. Analytical Skills:

    • Be ready to point to a time when your analytical abilities were tested, especially if you caught something others overlooked.

Preparation Tips:

  • Review your resume thoroughly and highlight experiences that showcase teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on market trends and have a clear understanding of macroeconomic factors.
  • Practice answering behavioral questions concisely and confidently.
  • For technical preparation, focus on understanding investment strategies, portfolio management, and market analysis.

Good luck with your superday!
