Portfolio Manager Question

Major Responsibilities :

Assist senior underwriters/portfolio with the ongoing monitoring and analysis of our existing portfolio of loans and underwrite new loan opportunities, including project loans, as well as REIT/Fund unsecured credit facilities.

Based on experience or ability to learn and excel, the prospective hire would manage a loan portfolio of relatively straightforward credits with little to no guidance. Associate should seek guidance on complex transactions.

Select responsibilities include: Risk rating loans; Analyzing financial reporting packages; Spreading financial statements; Monitoring covenant compliance and project performance; Collecting/analyzing market data; Completing ongoing annual credit reviews and loan reviews; Prepare and present credits for semi-annual portfolio review meetings; and Prepare approval memorandums, including processing through the Bank's systems.

Underwrite new loan transactions as well as coordinate due diligence and loan closings with guidance from senior PM's and relationship managers.

Requires interfacing with clients, other banks, attorneys, auditors, and third parties with guidance from senior PM's and RM's.

Generally 3-6 years of relevant working experience or an advanced degree (i.e. MS in Real Estate).

Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Ability to analyze underlying real estate assets, as well as public and private financial statements of REITs and institutional fun
