Reading List to learn more about EM, South America markets, history, and economics

Hi there, just started on an EM trading desk and was looking to learn more about South America and the EM in general (Markets, History, Economy). If anyone has great books (even textbooks) to recommend please drop a comment!

Politics of Latin America: The Power Game is not specifically finance related, but it goes through various country case studies and will greatly increase your understanding of the highly political nature of south American economies. It probably focuses more on geopolitics, which is to be expected given the name, but it will give you a good background on the history, politics and economics of each respective country. Also I should add that it is a textbook and it is dense, but if you enjoy the kind of stuff mentioned above then I’d recommend.
