SSGA Internship and interview experiences
Hey everyone,
I've done some digging in the archives, and I haven't been able to find too much on State Street Global Advisors internships/interview process. Soo I was wondering if anyone here can lend some insight into their experiences at SSGA, and what to expect in a first round phone interview.\
I'd really appreciate any info you guys can give on firm culture, investment management interviews in general, etc.

Hey, I'm interning at there now. It depends on what department you're interviewing for. The firm has a very personable culture, so make sure to have a conversation with your interviewer (that's at least what I did). It's been a pretty great experience so far. There's a lot of flexibility in what you can do as long as you ask around. Generally managers will approach you with interesting research projects to work on, but you're also going to have to do a lot of typical intern tasks.

I know that SSGA is huge in AM, but does anyone know anything about their culture, comp, exit ops? How is their reputation compared to firms like BlackRock & Fidelity? Have an interview coming up, just curious.
.
Is this for their summer internship position or a FT position?
summer internship
In terms of reputation, I believe it is good, as it is one of the largest AM firms. I am also applying for the summer internship so please keep updating this post so we know (there is not much on SSgA). Also, did you apply online or through your school?
yup I'll keep this updated. and i actually got my resume passed on through a big connection there. same source said that it is still very early in their recruiting process (interviews and such won't start until at least January)

Anyone know what I can expect for SSgA in Boston? What is the best way to prepare for this?
Thanks in advance

Are you guys undergrads or MBAs? I did a first round interview with them for the post-mba rotational program. Still waiting back on the outcome.
