Guys don't take asset management jobs and then look to recruit elsewhere especially if it is a smaller city. Asset management is a smaller street than IB, Atlanta is even smaller. Just don't do that. This isn't IB where they hire 40 kids out of school a year, likely one of a much smaller group. If you are recruiting for another asset management shop in Atlanta, odds are good that someone on your team would know someone at the other firm. Even if the story came out later, it would look really bad.

It is below market assuming you joined through their entry level program. The program is  two years and everyone has the same base and bonus targets. Though base is hourly and technically you’re on HRs payroll for the first two years. After that you enter the pay scale for your role and bonus pool for your team.

Y1 70k + 5k and a 10k sign-on bonus

Y2 75k + 11.250k (bonus target)

No clue it will be like after that tbh but my team is great and I enjoy the city and environment even if driving here sucks. Hope this helps

Yeah it is I guess their argument is that Atlanta is cheaper to live in than the major hubs for this industry. Hopefully the promo next year will be significant

I'm on 85k +15k + 7.5k sign-on also in the Atlanta office. Didn't come in through the analyst program and my role is slightly different, but they may be getting screwed.

Most pure AM is paying this in cities that aren’t NYC (I think BB NYC base is like $110k, someone correct me if I’m wrong). 70K is super low though. I see most hovering around 85-90k starting. Maybe 80k on the low end.
