Treasury Analyst at AM/buy side fund

Hey everyone, I recently got an interview for a treasury analyst position at a major AM. The reason I decided to ask about it even though I haven't gotten a offer is that I've never thought about going into treasury. I am currently in a middle office at BB as a control function, but what's unique about this job is that I actually work with models to evaluate bonds and come up woth my own valuation to compare it with traders' prices.

According to job description, there are two main responsibilities: 1. cash flow modeling and forecast at fund level 2. Executing equity funding and wiring transfers.

Here are my concerns. Even though I have valuation experience and some modeling experience, it has been really tough to get trading position or banking positions (both IB and CB) mainly due to 1. At the end of the day it is MO and 2. Office is not in major city (0 networking opps). I have been applying for only FO jobs. Sometimes made to final interviews but the feedbacks from HR or interviewers have always been like "you are a great person and sharp but the other candidate had experiences directly associated with the position") So at this point I was about to consider other opportunities and thrn go for MBA, and coincidently, the recruiter that I worked with for PE job hooked me up with the treasury analyst job at the same company.

So here are questions: 1. I have some understanding about treasury department at financial institutions like cash flow modeling/forecasting/stress test but what is cash flow modeling at "fund level"? How is it different and is there any differencr from general treasury role given it's buyside? Is it just BS to make it look fancier? 2. What is executing equity funding? 3. Wiring transfer is part of the duties. Would there be possibility that this job involves heaviliy on wiring transfers and cash flow modeling and stuff is just to hookup and disguise? 4. What would be the exit opps for general treasury analyst (it said this position requires 2-4 year exp so I guess it's not too entry level, and I have 1.5yr work exp at my current role) 5. Would it be possible to get into top10 MBA with this job?
