Trying to leverage the forum's wisdom and resources to come up with a fairly complete/comprehensive mapping of the private debt/lending/credit space in Canada in terms of:
- Key players
- Typical deals - size, companies, industries, instruments/structure, etc
- Any commentary on the history/development of the industry in Canada and key current trends/themes
- Commentary and insights on recruitment - schedule/cycle, what background is favored, etc
I can only think of a few names of myself incl. private credit divisions of the pension funds, and pure-play guys like Northleaf and Antares.
Personal background in leveraged finance, interested in moving into private lending/credit in Canada for the next stage of career.
