Are full-time resume rounds more competitive than internship resume rounds?

During internship season, I think I got a decent amount of interviews at boutiques and LEK with no brand name experience. I had been a part of a consulting club and some startups. I did not get any interviews from MBB or the Big 4.

However, during full-time recruiting (which is now for me) I added an internship from a fairly well-known econ consulting firm (maybe not the top, but still decent (think around NERA or Compass Lexecon level?) and while it's still early, I guess, I just have only gotten 6 interviews so far.

I got rejected from SKP, Prophet, BCG, and Frog Strategy and probably got ghosted by others too. For Prophet, I got an interview for their internship last year and I do have marketing experience, though not at a big firm.

Any ideas on whether I'm striking out because it's more competitive or maybe I just need to give them more time to respond?

I am at a target school (not an Ivy but a reputable public school in America).
