heard R1 invites will likely go out by end of month.
For BCG, I updated my resume in the application portal and put my cover letter after submitting because I was confused how the site worked.
The deadline for the application isn't for another two week and my application just says its submitted. Am I fine? I emailed the recruiter to make sure, but still waiting to hear
had a similar issue last year. recruiter said it was a-ok.

Had a coffee chat with NYC recruiter this week! They said to expect interview invites late next week. Afterwards, 1st round interview would happen the week after and 2nd round the week after that.

Haven't gotten anything yet! I'm also confused hahah cuz the recruiter I talked to was pretty specific about the dates/timeline and it should've been today. Might also be that I just didn't make it to the next round lmao. Have people heard anything for NYC office?

On a related note — anyone know if the process will involve Pymetrics and/or the Casey chatbot cases?
This's what I got from the recruiter: The online case is part of the first round of interviews and takes 35 minutes to complete. You must complete the online case in one sitting and will have a designated time block in which to complete the case.
Not v sure about the pymetrics tho.
So the online Casey interview replaces the first round interview? As in if you pass the Casey interview you go straight to final round?

I got bcg r1, I didn't get bain r1. Bain rejections came out about week and a half after invites and all invites came out within 1-4 hours.

Got invite for Chicago (target school in Midwest). I have barely cased at all and am in dire need of a casing partner to literally go all out this weekend. Yes, it is on me, but I have always been prelaw and consulting is more of something to do before law school and something IDC that much about.

Extremely burnt out and really do not care about consulting (just the industry where I will do my gap years before law school). Been prelaw my whole life pretty much. But now that I have BCG R1, trying my hardest to prepare and restore the dignity and reputation of my middle-class Asian fam.

got rejection email. networked with ppl at all levels, 4.0 from target school, relevant extracurriculars, big-name work experience. must've been a super competitive cycle
nah its quite literally perfectly random. i had 0 networking with a 3.9 at a semi target school with pretty random extracurriculars and no consulting experience and got an r1 for nyc

yes. you had to submit through a portal. cover letter is mandatory (not optional/suggested) for bain and bcg, discouraged at mckinsey.

when do r2s come out?
my r1 guy said recruiting team meets and discusses on friday, so he'd expect r2 out monday. He said he wasn't sure though.

Sharing what I heard from peers in the SEA office - and there's quite a bit of unhappiness because they are adding an extra BA (Business Analyst) position before Associate for some countries to try to extend the average life cycle. Average person leaves the firm in 2 years currently
