Comp Progression in Distressed Credit/Special Sits

I was wondering what the comp looks like as you rise through the ranks. I know this might vary by shop but would love for anyone's inputs.

(And yes, I know I'm just an intern, but I am trying to weight how my current career options will set me up financially for the future.)

Hey Intern in IB - Cov, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I am sad to say, but this thread is lonely, so thought I'd post in here to try and help out. Some potential topics that might help:

You wont do well in anything if you are only focused on comp. I would only go into SS/Distressed if you actually like the work. Its completely different than traditionall buyout. If the deciding factor for you between distressed / non distressed is comp then you are doomed.

That being said it doesnt make as much as buyout but can track closely.
