Corporate Banking Salary (2024)
I’ve seen plenty of conflicting posts regarding salaries in CB and was wondering if anyone had any up to date information? Based in Canada and wondering if A1 are making 100k base + 30% bonus.

110K base in the US if you’re at BofA/Citi/JPM.
90k in Toronto among big 5
WF is 100 for AN1. 125 for AS1
What about base and bonus for VPs?
VP 2 at a US Super Regional
Base: $185k stayed the same 2022 to 2023
Bonus: 2022: $100K 2023: $70k. Top bucket both years business just struggled in 2023.

$100k balance sheet bank. Expecting $35k bonus for An1 with worst case scenario at $25k if bank does terribly.
what about associate?
Aso is $150k base, and fairly certain VP $225k, although it might be $200k. Dir starting $237k - $263k.
Edit: Really weired but there's a current VP posting w/ salary range $157 - $193k on site, seems pretty low compared to Aso.
Any clue what loan syndications teams pay at big 5 for Analysts? How easy is it to move from these roles to general corp banking/DCM?
In Toronto comp should be on par with the coverage teams, if not slightly higher. Move to corporate banking coverage should be easy, haven’t seen exits to DCM but I’m sure the transition is very doable
How much do the smaller globals like MUFG and SMBC pay for CB Analysts?
SMBC CB (US) An1/2/3 - $100k/$105k/$110k
Bonus (no buckets) 25%/31%/33%
Analyst program has recently been revised to A2A (no more An3), would assume An2 jumps to An3 comp with coming analyst classes.
last year, an AN3 in non-loan fake CB made 50% bonus, big 5 canada
What does non loan fake CB mean? Commercial banking ?
Only thing I can think of is global transaction banking teams like cash management and trade finance but you usually don’t see analysts getting 50% bonus there
