Creditor Mandates Experience and Buyside Recruiting
Transitioning into a bank FT with copious amount of creditor mandate work (rather than debtor mandate work). Would be curious to hear the experience of anyone who has done a lot of creditor mandate work and the learning experience involved in it? How much financial modelling and transactional knowledge do you build through creditor work? How does buyside recruiting for LBO buy-out firms (traditional PE) view creditor mandate restructuring experience? How well do creditor oriented deals prepare you for buyside recruiting and the job itself in PE?
Finally if possible, would be curious to hear if anyone has made the transition from RE PE to IB (but that's unrelated lol)
