Post superday extra interview?
Hey all,
Last Friday, I had a superday for an internship at a BB PC arm.
It was supposed to be 3 interviews, but one of the interviewers quit the company (as I understood from the context), so I only had 2 interviews (both 1on1 with people high up the chain, think Head of, and higher).
Got a call from HR today that they were „very impressed” and there is another person that would like to meet me. They also want to run the next interview ASAP, as in in 2 days.
Is it rather that they need to fulfill the „obligation” of having 3 interviews per super day? As in, even that I am due for an offer, they still need to make it 3 interviews? Or they are on edge between me and other candidates?
Obviously it’s guessing at this point, but if you wouldn’t mind sharing your experience, that’d be great.
I’ve been on pins and needles for the whole weekend and seems it’s going to be another 5 days of that. How do I take my mind off that?

is this 3rd person someone even more senior or at a similar level to ones you already met? If so, my inclination would be you're the only candidate and that they want a final sign off.. primarily due to the comment from HR and timing of the interview.
That said, in this job market, I've had interviews at a similar stage (for more experienced roles) go either way due to last minute personal connects coming in so just be cautiously optimistic. Good luck!
Haven’t asked tbh. Would you say it is ok to ask HR who that person is? Don’t want to disturb the balance or anything like that. Thanks!
they should mention who it is prior to the meeting (after your confirmation), but if they haven't then you can just say something along the lines of "would it be possible to know who the meeting is with so I'm best prepared" in a followup.. just something simple
