Cryptocurrencies as investment
Has anyone made some good gains on cryptocurrencies? Personally i earned around 5000% at Ethereum a while ago. Now i am looking for other currencies in the 50-300M marketcap range, who have the potential to do at least 500-1000% ++ in the next 3-6 months.
I found something very promising, factom. Investors waiting for news to drop about huge partnership, also we got exodus release coming in a few weeks, M2 client is stable and it will soon be used in real life. We also got Tim draper and Bill gates on the team.
Downsides of Factom you ask? There’s not many. It’s built on-top of a tried and true foundation. It’s not a true currency in the vein of Bitcoin or Zcash, so there’s almost no immediate risk towards being hacked and at that, Factoids have such low value currently that there’s almost no benefit towards putting in the work to crack the system. In our opinion the potential downsides that manifest down the road are nothing in comparison the potential upside that you may experience through investing. Contextually speaking, if we look at the patterns of the most successful traders, the majority focus on the potential upside that a stock or bond may have, not the potential risk… and the heights we’re looking towards with Factom vastly overshadow the risk. One example is Tim Draper, a well known venture capitalist with a proven interest in blockchain technology is an early stage investor in Factom. He stated: “Centralized data is prone to critical failure by any individual mistake, whether by user error or malicious hacking. By decentralizing data through the blockchain, Factom avoids critical failures due to user error or hacker.”
Ethereum is still without doubt a good investement in the mid and long term, but i think factom will produce more gains in % over the next 3-6 months.

I bought Ripple after a friend I work with got into Etherium under $10 and he was telling me to buy into XRP.
I'm up about 180% in 3 weeks, I don't expect it to shoot up as high as Etherium as there are vastly many coins so that market cap would be just absurd if it hit $170 like Eth. But it's been fun.
Well done! yes ripple is looking good. But already gone up a lot, and takes alot of money to move, so i wont buy at this point. Have you been considering switching to some low cap coins to be early in and gain faster?
To be honest I have no idea what I'm doing in the crypto currency market.
I've browsed some crypto forums to try and learn a little more about XRP and gain some insights but the people out there claiming to have knowledge on the topic are literally more clueless than I am.
I just threw a thousand dollars at it because my friend told me to and I happened to get lucky.

Unregulated horse-shit. If you buy any btc products you're gambling and if you sell them to clients then I don't know how you sleep at night.
