ER Interview

Hey Everyone,

I have a TI interview coming at MS in London for an ER Summer. I was wondering if anyone would have any insight as to whether this interview would be with HR or an analyst within a research team. And separately, when asked the infamous "pitch me a stock" question, would the interviewer expect you to have done valuation (DCF, comps) on the company before the interview?

Thanks in advance!

Would you recommend using forward P/E or EBITDA multiple? I'm pitching to go long on a mid-cap biotech stock with a high anticipated growth rate (Jazz Pharma).

Focus more on EBITDA. Funds and banks in ER focus on EV/EBITDA and use the industry avg. to compare the company you have interest in.

It will depend on sector. P/E is usually the go to, if you’re not using P/E you should have some understanding why you aren’t.
