Expected Compensation 1st Year Associate ER?
I haven't been able to find great comp. information for 1st year ER associates. What do compensation packages generally look like for this job; please format (sign on, base, bonus range) and note the type of firm. I'm mainly looking at BB's.
Hi Spike Spiegel, yes, I'm a bot, but I'm also good looking. Hopefully, these threads help you:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Post MBA? Any experience?
Pre-MBA right out of school. One IB internship - unknown boutique
$125k all in BB
There should be comp threads from the February timeframe, but my recollection is 85k base, small stub bonus for most banks in January/Feb. for 2nd year 90 base and 15-35k bonus.
YungMonc What's the breakdown? 80-85 base? Does that pay extend to any of the non-BB's - William Blair, Wells Fargo, etc.? or is it a bit different at those place?
My understanding is base is similar but bonuses might be lower, although the Firms you mentioned are fairly well respected and may be able to pay at BB levels.
In my experience, this is high for a first year associate. Most first year associates are not getting 85k base and 40k bonus... even assuming a 10k sign-on they aren't getting a 30k bonus. That is banker pay. 85k base + 15k bonus is far more realistic. I got 75k base/20k bonus/5k sign-on at an MM.
I think a realistic range is 90-110k
Thanks! I figured that 125 was a bit high.
