FT 2022 EQUITY RESEARCH SALARIES, ADVICE

for all the FT22's getting into the thick of offer letter season, let's give advice on starting salary/bonus figures. What should they be looking for? How low is too low, what looks like a great deal? Let's discuss! (ideally NYC / high COL figures).

Recently signed at a top ER shop everyone has heard of for FT22. $100K base, $10K signing. MD said to expect $25-$35K bonus, the associate said $30-$40K. All in, expecting $135-$150K First Year Comp. This is NYC.

Would be curious to hear about other data points.

Shops well regarded for their research quality and with a high concentration of II-ranked analysts. Think BOfA, JPM, EVRISI, Wolfe, Bernstein etc.

$25k to $40k was also the bonus range I heard a few years back

nice to have this datapoint for a brand name firm when some people out here are claiming $60k bonuses (BS) for first year ER guys
