Hey guys I’ve been huge lurker here for a while but do you think I have a chance at GS ER or any bulge bracket ER?

To give you an idea, I have a 3.6 GPA from Baruch, Major in Finance and minor in math. I have been part of two investment management clubs, piano student at a music school and worked as a librarian at the New York Public Library. I taught myself financial modeling through FactSet’s free certification and have adept excel skills. I think I can use these experiences as leverage but I’m not too sure.

The only thing is that I have no relevant internship experience at all. I want to create my own Equity Research report and submit it with my application, I’m just putting the finishing touches on it. Please don’t be harsh I really just need advice thanks guys

Go ahead and JUMP!

anything is possible with networking and I think you have a shot if you work hard. I have created a report as well and that’s been a great selling point to distinguish myself. If there is an area for additional documents, I attach it otherwise it’s great to have in an interview as something you can send/leave them with.

I applied Mid-July. Does it mean its over or what? Feeling like shit cuz I networked so hard with that department.
