Interview...
I have my first interview for an equity research intern this week. I have worked extremely hard to get here and I am a little nervous. Was wondering if anyone has any tips/ideas for the interview. What type of questions should I be prepared for etc. Any help means a lot to me! I want this more than everything.
ER interview:
Good luck.
Thank you so much!!!
Np, good luck.
Dumb question but would the questions be similar for a sophomore?
Yes, it's the same job right?
Asked head of research at a well known bank about what makes a candidate stand out when he looks for research analysts/associates:
“Charm”
It goes beyond the ability to speak well, analyze well, even looking good or overall polished. Can you lure an investor into an engaging conversation about a stock? Pique someone’s interest? Make your audience gravitate towards the story you want them to know. Once you have all the technicals down, it’s this level 2 stuff that sets you apart. After all, the bulk of ER analyst’s job is spent on marketing to buyside thru 1-on-1s. Can you generate trading revenue?
Nemo dicta tempore ut in. Animi dolore libero quae qui. Quia quaerat delectus blanditiis qui in sunt dignissimos. Aut ullam architecto sapiente placeat.
