Long only buyside interview help (Full-Time)
Hi WSO. I have an interview for a full-time ER analyst role with a long only firm coming up.
The interview is set in person and will last for 8 hours, the PM told me that it will be a company analysis. Has anyone gone through a similar process? I would like to hear your thoughts on what to expect as this is my first time recruiting for full-time and have never done such a long-interview case.
Additional info: I'm an undergrad with a couple of internship experiences in hedge funds.
Thanks in advance!

8 hours in person? Or you have 8 hours to complete it?

8 hours in person, the interview will be at their office from 10 am to 6pm
Jeez. Sounds brutal. I have never done anything this brutal. If this is a mega long only, that better be a dream shop of yours.
You have had a few hedge fund internships, so you know what to expect. DM me if you have further questions.

I really don't know what to expect lol. Maybe 3 hours modelling + 3 hours company analysis, 1 hour lunch, 1 hour pitch and Q&A?
If Fidelity is only doing 2-hour p-test, whoever this shop is doesn't have the bargain power to hold you captive for 7 hours (1 hour lunch hopefully outside).
