Hi,
Does anyone have a good software/tech primer on anything other than semiconductors? I've tried searching google and this website and have found some blue papers from MS and a brief primer from Wells, but am looking for something more in-depth or that goes more into the finance/accounting issues surrounding tech companies. If anyone has any, I would greatly appreciate it.

would someone of you be willing to pull me a recent technology industry primer / research report which includes all the big names in tech in the US? Basically a report that covers what is going on in tech right now / and the future and includes some industry trends, market sizes, etc.

Check out Mary Meeker's Internet Trends. It has some pretty high-level stuff, but I don't recall if lists specific company names.
If you can access ThomsonONE (I think your school might provide access), you can download professionally written reports from a variety of banks.
