What else should I (sophomore) do?

How can you have an almost perfect major GPA if you are not in the commerce school yet? Get involved with ECs. I had a friend that went to UVA and he worked for a professor for the summer between junior and senior year, instead of doing an internship. When recruiting came around he was able to use the professor "to get the nod" to several BB interviews and eventually a job.

I already declared economics as my first major and I intend to do double major regardless of my admission to the commerce school.

Network.

Work in some finance related field for the upcoming summer and then try for internships again in your junior year after some networking.

start emailing or calling them, ask for advice, ask to chat, ask to hear their life stories. They'll share, and maybe someone will be in a position to help.

Also, your parents. Ask them to talk to their friends, see if they can get a gig lined up for you. Gotta get out there and find people who want to help you.

Thanks for answering. UVA alumni association sucks. The "directory" is so incomplete that it's hard to find an alum that is actually working on the Wall Street.

I have another question: Is ER @ BB hard for me based on my stats? Sorry if this sounds like a collegeconfidential question. Having no previous experience or background about this field, I want to evaluate if this is a reasonable goal to aim at.
