What news sources do you use

I installed a bunch of news apps on my phone (nytimes, wapo, economist, etc). I feel like I’m spending too much time reading news. And there’s a bunch of overlap between stories from news sources so I’m tired of seeing the same things over and over. Feels like a waste of time. What do you guys think?

personally, i think the financial times is the best - it's become my daily staple news source. couldn't recommend it enough tbh. perhaps a little uk-focussed, sure, but not to its detriment as a source for international stories.

i agree with your sentiment though - having too many apps gets exhausting to manage.

Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Investment Banking Full-time Analyst Programme (London) at JPMorgan Chase. After a thorough review of your application, we regret to inform you that we are unable to move forward with your candidacy at this time.

Depends on the type of news you want. For daily updates, Axios has a suite of options that are great (including full-length newsletters and short headline updates); morning brew, Fortune Term Sheet, etc. are all great just depending on what you’re looking for.

I also use a new application called Atom Finance (atom.finance on web browser). It has a lot of functionality including a dashboard that can integrate your different brokerage accounts and holdings, as well as stocks you’re watching, and give you news around those companies/sectors. Worth giving a look.

Personally, WSJ, a mix of Axios newsletters/alerts and Atom to give me more company-specific stories is a good balance for me. You’ll never get all the stories you want without a little overlap.
