Path to Hedge Fund

Secured IBD SA for 2024, but ultimate end goal is to be in the HF space. Is it still a typical 2 and out for hedge funds from IB?

In retrospect, maybe should’ve pursued ER, but curious to hear about how those in the HF space got there. Any insight / advice appreciated.
