Are you talking about Europe or the US?
Interested in US.
Interested mainly in US.
Can't comment much on the US but in Europe the team is rather strong and has good deal flow, modeling is done in-house, not by the Industry Team (btw what French Banks call Coverage groups is more like Corporate Banking, not really IBD, what is confusing with SG is that they have Industry Group and Coverage Group..). I think in the US it's quite focused on digital infra (data centers, fiber...) while in Europe they have key mandates with big Telcos (Altice, Illiad, Orange..) and you can see them on a few Tech Deals too. The team has had good exits in Europe (some went to EBs in Debt Advisory, others to BBs in LevFin, saw one to Ares..), in the US tbh not so sure about exits, French Banks are not that good in the US so I'd assume exits are not the best
Thanks for your insight. Do a lot of US SocGen employees try to transfer to a Europe office to get more active deal flow, or do they primarily stay in the US?
Tbh I'd say it really depends whether you're French / speak French.. If so I'd guess a transfer to Paris may be doable, otherwise unlikely, but could be possible in London. The TMT Finance team in Paris is the one with the most deal flow, but London is decent too (I think again may be skewed towards digital infra in London)
Hey, could you please PM me please? Have an interview with this team for trainee in Europe, any help is appreciated :)
