110k Post Tax Question - NY
Trying to budget out my monthly. Can someone who is an analyst making 110k base comment their biweekly or monthly check post tax? Can be assuming 100% contribution to 401k or without it. I tried looking at the online calculators but all are feeding back different info
Following
~3K every 2 weeks
3k post 401k contribution or pre? thank you for commenting
It’s definitely not $3k per paycheck after 401k contribution and HSA / Healthcare costs
Post. Also depends on relationshil/family status.
Why don’t you look up tax tables and figure out how deductions / credit work. This is an ongoing problem with everything where people don’t wanna figure things out. You would be so much better
I know how the tax brackets work but I don't know anything about 401k contributions and how much they take out. I already have the rough number post tax but again not sure how it works with 401k
Assuming you mean you are contributing 100% of the annual contribution limit ($22,500), that works out to $937.50 taken out of each paycheck pre-tax, or just over 20% of your pre-tax income.
Use the ADP paycheck calculator. Very accurate as they are one of the largest payroll providers in the country
just checked it out. this is great. thank you!
Don't forget healthcare which is another ~$100-150 or so a month coming out pre-tax
I take home about ~3.1k net after tax every two weeks. (110 base, tax married, no kids, California)
Gross - ~4.25k
401k - 5% match (BB)
Healthcare - 100-200 per month (dental & regular for spouse and self), no HSA contribution at the moment
