2022 Thoughts on Gordon Dyal & Co?
Anyone have any updated info on Gordon Dyal & Co in terms of comp, deal flow, or PE exits? A friend of a friend told me that they don’t have a SA intern class and only hire laterals. They have analysts leaving top EBs (Evercore/Moelis) and seem to he growing rapidly since 2020.
Heard hours are terrible (9-2am even on weekends), but all in pay for AN1s last year cleared $300k.
Hi ExpensiveCashFlow, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.

No summer analyst class and only hire laterally. Workload is obscene as far as hours ago (yes everyone will tell you its the same at any good boutique but its actually absurd at Dyal, hence why I left). That said, pay is unbeatable and the experience you get there is tremendous so if you're interested in staying in banking its a great place to be
Mind if I DM? Have a few questions if you have the time, I'd appreciate it. Thanks a lot
So what was the pay?
Idk how reliable this figure is but heard of VPs clearing 7 figures almost. Def know of an AN1 who made $300k+ last year
Can I PM about interview?
Hey, can you please PM me? (Can’t PM you). Considering a position over there
Heard the culture/hours has gotten a lot better recently. Pays beyond top of the street and can focus on mega cap deals.
