5 First Rounds and 0 SuperDays

So OCR just finished at my regional target and I'm left without a single superday. I had 5 first rounds with 2 BBs, 3 EBs. I networked my ass off, and received first rounds from 5/6 banks I visited, so getting first rounds isn't my problem. An alumni in my fraternity actually reached out to me to give me one of the 1st rounds, I just can't convert them. I'm a Finance major, have a 3.6, in a fraternity, social (not a robot) and am in relevant Finance clubs/extracurriculars but have no previous Finance work experience (seems many didn't being sophomores). However most of my work experience/my story consists of a successful startup I launched my Junior year of HS. I assumed this would be a plus (balancing school/fraternity/business), but I feel like it hurt me because it has been successful, and the interviewers probably don't understand why I would want to do banking having a successful business. I was asked that question, and responded with the usual answer (learning experience, no passion for niche my business is in) but was ultimately dinged by everyone despite nailing all my technicals. This summer I'm interning at a firm that is extremely relevant for the industry I'm targeting. When I'm recruiting again in the Fall, should I leave off the startup and only mention the internship? I really thought being a successful entrepreneur would be a plus.

would also echo this. just spoke with a few of my friends who are alumni and doing informal campus recruiting. some very candid info was passed and one of the things that stuck out to me was that they are really looking for humble people.

if you're in front of them or on the phone the phone with a rep from the bank, chances are that you're impressive already. no need to brag to them.

I agree with Entrepreneur Hero - it struck me as off too. Always better to spin previous experiences more positively - it was a lot of fun, I learned a lot, etc.
