7 Yrs. buy side exp. trying to break into bank associate program
Hey guys, i've been on buyside private credit, specifically asset backed finance for past 7 years. Did not do traditional IB analyst to buyside route. Re-thinking my career now and I want to stay within asset backed finance but go through a true bank IB ABS associate program. Truth is, I feel like I have limited growth potential to a larger institution without going through a banking program. I have strong technicals but do not have a bank on resume, which usually means I am receiving an auto rejection on my application. I want to take a step back in my career to ultimately get further. I have of course tried networking, but have really not been able to break into an interview process. Short of going for an MBA, any suggestions from anyone of how I can break into a bank. Thanks!
