ABN Cuts 900 North American jobs

I've heard ABN has a reputation for firing employees all the time. What kind of an impact will this have on hiring at other firms? Seems like there will be an much greater supply of talent now. Or is it safe to assume that ABN will fire the shitty workers who can't make money and that other firms will realize this and not hire the tainted monkeys?
