Hi all, so I'm a current sophomore and going to be working at a BB doing equity research for next summer. However, my goal is to do investment banking junior summer/full time, and was wondering how to approach this? Would it be acceptable for me to start networking with the firm's investment banking team or would that be too awkward/potentially damaging? I would assume/have heard that the goal of sophomore internships are to ultimately end up hiring the candidate if they're good, as expected, so do I just completely avoid trying to recruit banking for the firm? Thanks!
