Advice for American Studying Undergrad in UK

Hello! As said in the title, I am an American citizen from a top UK target studying Economics and Management. Idk what I want to do right now, but I know I want to do finance (probably IB, PE, or consulting) and I want to do it in the US. Basically just wanted to ask how I should approach this. UK schools are 3 years if that matters. I am applying for Spring Weeks in London now, but should I try to do my 2nd year (same as junior in US) internships in the US or do it in London then apply for full time jobs in US? Does anyone have any experience or anecdotes on which one gives me a higher chance?
