Advice, Input and/or Leads needed

Hello WSO! I really need your advice or any leads on how to get onto Wall street. I have an advanced degree in science and have been looking to get onto wall street. I have emailed virtually all wall street recruitment agencies but have been getting either regrets or no reply at all. Initially I tried applying for consulting jobs but didn't get any interviews.

I have two yrs experience in retail banking outside USA with an international bank, good undergraduate GPA and decent graduate GPA from a state university in US. I have studied investment banking on my own (Rosenbaum and couple more bks) so know the basics of investment banking. I'm self motivated; awaiting to get a permanent job, I have been working on a manuscript, which i hope will become a non fiction book soon. Will really appreciate ANY info or leads. Thanks very much!
