Advice - Woking at a small IB

I work at a small IB and the experience is not very good. I was told that this will change, and the job will become more like an actual analyst position. I may have the opportunity to move to a small PE firm (below $250 mil.) and be the only analyst there, much like my job now. Is it worth moving to the PE shop if given the opportunity or sticking it out at the other place for a little longer in hopes of moving to a bigger bank/PE shop in a few months? Will a small PE firm look better on a resume/MBA application then a small IB? Thanks for your advice!

ExGSBankerExtremely hard to swim upstream at PE, i.e., go from smaller shop to bigger one.
Most of the guys who are getting into PE shops after b-school already have experience...often times at smaller shops.

Would it look good on a MBA application and for jobs post-MBA? The bank I currently work at is very small (less then 15 people) and it seems some of them are not in it to build a firm but make money for a few years then get out. Is it worth sticking it out for a year or so then trying to move to a MM bank? Thanks!
