ALPFA Convention Worthwhile for BB FO Roles?

Hey all,

Wondering if attending the ALPFA Convention is worthwhile or not. I know many of the BB banks are present but do they recruit for FO roles? I've heard of students having interviews lined up with BB banks before even getting to the convention but for roles such as Finance, Ops, etc.

Even if they do not recruit for FO roles at the convention, do you think it would be beneficial to attend, attempt to strike a connection with HR/other employees present, make known my interest in FO role (IBD), and try to see if they'll put me in touch/recommend me with someone in IBD once they get back from the convention?

I just want to make sure going is worth the time and money.
