Analyst/Associate Progression

Does anyone’s firm send around a PDF that outlines the different responsibilities of each level of analyst/associate/VP (eg 1st year analyst vs 3rd year analyst or maybe just associate vs VP). I used to work in IB and my old firm had a really good PDF that detailed this. It was a great way to see if your responsibilities were progressing as expected or if you’re falling behind.

I want to implement something similar at my PE fund but don’t have a good example to show.

I think the first place I’ve ever worked at had a best practices pdf guide that explained various responsibilities but I think it also included stuff like ppt formatting, excel modeling, printing, emailing, and various other basic stuff… or maybe those were in a separate pdf, unsure / forgot.

Is that what youre looking to create at your new fund?
