Applying for summer position via bank's website a waste of time?
It seems that submitting resumes on a bank's website is a black hole of time and effort, unless a contact at the bank already has your resume and says you should submit online as well. Is this everyone else's experience, for summer positions in particular?
Bottom line: should I go through the effort of submitting online if I don't know someone at the bank? Many thanks.
Know two people (non-targets) who have gotten offers applying solely through the website (no contacts, etc.)
It'll take around 5 hours to apply to every single BB, so just take a day and do it. Who knows.. you might get lucky.
In addition to submitting online applications, I also mailed my resume to a lot of banks. I specifically know that this got me at least one interview...
go through the effort.
Yeah, my friend got an offer at Lehman solely applying online
It works
But it might be a bit late no?
apply to barlays...a recruiter just got back to me and I applied only a few days ago
You mean submitting through the online application process? Why wouldn't you do that....
