Appropriate to name drop in hirevue?
For the “why this firm” question is it ok to name drop people you’ve talked to? The bank I’m interviewing with doesn’t do referrals

I mean it's not necessarily a faux pas, for example you're encouraged to name-drop in cover letters. However, possibly yes in this case.
I don't know...what if it's a really senior person? Wouldn't be odd to be like "I've gotten to speak with a MD" vs "I had the opportunity to speak with X, a MD/Senior VP in this office etc." I feel like it would be odd to obscure the name of someone really high up if they were a big part of your application process
So JPM?
Lol.
