Are there any firms, BB or boutique, that offer freshman internships (paid or unpaid)?

Hello all, Currently a freshman finance major at a non-target state school in Ohio. I was wondering if I had any chance of landing a summer internship at an investment bank preferably in NYC; I live close by in the summer so it would be ideal, but I'm not apposed to looking elsewhere. I am willing to take pretty much any internship, paid or unpaid. I realize that coming from a non-target it is unlikely that I will find anything, but I am doing everything I can to try and boost my odds. I plan on rushing a business frat and joining the investment banking club, so hopefully that will make somewhat of a difference. Anyways if anyone knows of any firms that do offer internships for freshman please let me know.

Yeah, there are internships out there. Plus, if you don't need to be paid you're attractive in that sense (but, working unpaid sucks). Just hit up all the small boutique banks in NYC, network, and see where you could be of value.

Also, if you're an unpaid intern, other boutique banks across the country will maybe let you be an "extern" as well. Basically, you just need a bank on your resume to show that you took steps in the right direction. Good luck!
