Asset Management vs middle office S&T role?

Hi,

I am currently a first year Analyst (started in 2021) at a large BB (GS,JP,MS) and am quite unhappy with my middle office role in Markets S&T. It’s a very quant role and the team is global without any interaction with clients. I have been interviewing in AM within the firm and was wondering if anyone has any advice/experience working in AM? Is it a better opportunity than S&T?

Thanks! Would really appreciate the insight
