Banking group Revenue --> bonus

how does a group revenue for the FY translate to bonus for their analysts? After b-table and admin related fees, what does the bonus pool look like? Say a group of 40 bankers made 100 million in fees for the year.

Really general/vague question, so not expecting anything concrete. Just wanted to know how the process goes and any general figures

Agree with the above for most BBs, EBs and MMs. However at boutiques and international banks that don't really understand/know/care how the 'Street' does things, a bad year can actually fuck over the juniors

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

This, my little brother's friend took a job coming out of school as an analyst at a "boutique" his base was 50k and they offered him an opportunity for 50k bonus.

The boutique had a bad year and none of the analysts got a bonus.

I think a mistake made in banking is referring to every bank smaller than the MM as a boutique.

In reality, they should be called Low Tier Niche Shops.
