BCMS Corporate?
Anyone know about this place? Seems like a pretty big group in LA and curious if anyone has any information.

Anyone?
I'd also really appreciate any insight into BCMS Corporate. Can anybody provide info on the complexity of their deals and what one should expect as far as exit ops and experience gained?
thanks!
Satellite office. 3-4 bankers and 1-2 analysts working there. Very limited experience.
Thanks for the insight banker. Would you consider BCMS as a whole to be a legitimate M&A IB boutique? Are you familiar with the average deal size or comp?
I'm concerned about future marketability that I'd gain from a grad school perspective as well as to other MM banks...
appreciate your feedback!
They're UK headquartered. New York executes most of the deals whereas the LA and Canadian offices usually provide a lot of the support for the deals that the New York office runs.
Thanks for your feedback
wcbanker is spot on. la office is weak and the experience is very limited.
Any more info on their NY office? Is it reputable? comp vs. the street at the IB associate level?
Thanks
NY office is a fair office. Sharper professionals, friendly yet hard working culture, comp is lower that the streets. Base should be about similar, maybe less at analyst and associate levels but bonus is certainly lower from my understanding.
Did you ever work at the bank?
Thanks for the info.

I got an interview at BCMS for a summer analyst position after I didn't get a call-back for a superday at another small boutique. Never heard of BCMS though, and a search on WSO didn't bring anything up either. Just wondering if anyone has any input about a summer analyst gig there, and what my opps would be if I get it for FT recruiting at a bigger bank. Thanks guys.
Also curious.
Is this for NYC?
I got an interview as well. Could not find much information on them other than their website.
Yeah it is in NYC. I couldn't find much other than the website as well.
did you all apply through OCR or the website?
Through OCR.
For the OCR guys, anyone know anything about their compensation? Did it state it on the ad anywhere?
Thanks.
They are planning on taking 2 from NYU, 1 from michigan, 1 from umass, and 1 from indiana.
Oh that adds some more perspective on things, thanks a lot hurro.
Hurro, can I ask how you got your info? Please PM me if you don't feel comfortable stating it here.
Thanks.
Sure, pm sent
Has anyone had more experience with this firm? Particularly their LA office? Would love some insight on the types of deals, complexity of deals, and comp if so. thanks.
@00boom00 la office works on companies with revenues anywhere from as low as $1M to $50M (you'd be lucky if you found yourself working on a company with above $20M in rev). BCMS is simply a business broker, focused on selling companies. Not your stereotypical "investment bank" and I don't mean that in a good way.

Can anyone tell me about BCMS Corporate in NY? I have a first round interview with them coming up. Are they a legitimate boutique IB firm? Comp? Thanks!
Primarily sell-side advisory work. I've spoken with someone there and my impression is that the deal flow is actually very solid but the deals themselves are tiny. Don't know a ton.
I know someone who worked there (not in the NY office) that just made cold calls all day. Not sure what exactly for.
I know someone who worked there and lateraled to another boutique. Apparently comp isn't great.
