Beer with a Banker
For context: I spoke with this alum a few weeks ago and he said his IB story was more of a beer conversation than a phone call story. He also said he would be happy to meet with me if I came to NYC. Here is the email I have drafted:
I am planning to be in NYC August 11th-12th. If your schedule permits, I would love to grab coffee or a beer and hear the rest of your IB story. Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you when you come to [state].
Best, Name
Any suggestions? Or am I overthinking?
Seriously? Just say "i'll be in the city next month on the around the 11th, let's grab a beer at Dorsia." The email you typed up, while polished, sounds like a fucking robot.
Say "drink" not "beer"
