Best modeling package
Thinking about doing the WSO elite modeling package. Wondering if there is a superior course out there AND if it’s something an investment bank would even care you completed.
I’m sure there will be a lot of stuff that will trigger the Resume scanners.
give insight
I really like wsp can't speak to WSO though. Wsp is super easy to follow and has great materials to practice along with the instructor
Coming from a liberal arts college I second this, definitely prepared me adequately
Also lib arts background. Huge help
Count me as one more endorsement for WSP.
MultipleExpansion.Com & Macabacus.
Both are free and more complicated & in-depth than WSO or WSP.
No offense here Patrick...
Do they offer LBO
Yep. I recommend you go through WSO or WSP's LBO courses first. They have comprehensive models too, and easier ones, like a paper LBO.
Fwiw, it's one Goolge away from your answer.
Have seen WSO, WSP, BIWS, TTS courses. Would rec TTS - found them the best at explaining concepts + organizing content well. BIWS is way too bloated w/ unnecessary complexities, thought WSP did a poor job on certain functions / formulas (I specifically used their LBO course, so YMMV). TTS is also one of the main programs used for SA / FT training so their content should be pretty relevant
I've used BIWS and WSP and agree biws has far too many complexities and takes way too long sometimes (long video hours and complexities is not always a good thing; looking at you CFI w/ ur 200 hr vid material lol), WSP gives more digestable and easier to understand teaching but some things can be improved as you said
try looking into Financial Edge, i think they give you self study courses and thats what we use at our training at a bb
Does TTS help with excel skills? I’m not bad at excel but I still use a mouse
Which is the best to prepare for PE??
PM me
For clarify’s sake, the best way to prep does not involve either of 1) PMing this Harry guy or 2) paying for his shit.
@WallStreetOasis.com, can you block this Harry dude? S/he sells training materials all day long.

WSP was always most helpful in my opinion (sorry, Patrick). I was able to take the entire WSP certification as an undergrad elective.
It’s helpful for technical interview Q’s and when you actually get on the desk, but I never flashed it on my resume. If you’re 2nd/3rd year in school it may be helpful on the resume.

Udemy has an ok course for ~$50 if you don't want to spend the ~$500 on WSP. It'll get you what you need to pass technicals and make it through interviews. Keep in mind, all banks put you through modeling training when you first start (WSP, TTS, etc.), so I wouldn't advise to blow a ton of money
